Citrus and Bergamot, Cedarwood, and Musk make this the most masculine scented candle available from True North Candle Forge. This candle was created by my daughter Brenden. It is a worthy tribute to those brave men who risked so much on the little piece of land so long ago, smelling like a sophisticated cologne.
Combined with the buttery-smooth finish of our exclusive, high-quality, organic, sustainably-sourced coconut wax, this candle will enrich your sense of sight, touch, and smell!
February 1945: Epitomized by the flag raising atop Mount Suribachi, the Battle of Iwo Jima was 36 days of some of the most brutal combat in the history of the United States Marine Corps. 26,000 casualties, of which over 6,800 were killed in action. One such KIA was previously awarded Medal of Honor recipient GnySgt John Basilone (Guadalcanal). 27 Medals of Honor were awarded for this battle, the most ever for any single battle in the history of all branches of the military in any war in American history. 22 Marines, 4 Hospital Corpsman, and 1 Naval Gunnery Officer earned the nation’s highest honor for bravery, dedication, and sacrifice. 14 of them were awarded posthumously. This candle will be labeled Iwo Jima when shipped.
